Wednesday night beach walk

We ate some noodles with eggplant and mushrooms last night after Ben got home from the office. A vegetarian friend of a friend gave us some vegetable soup base packets, which helped to give it some veg friendly flavor :)

Since there was some daylight left, we thought a walk to the ocean sounded good. We ended up finding our own little "beach" about 5 minutes from our place...

This is what the ocean road looks like. It runs down the entire coast on this side of the island

the beach, which is about 100 feet long, has all kinds of interesting shells... this is one (on the branch) that Ben found for me...

Starting to get dark out, but you can see that it's not the most scenic spot, but there is black sand. If only there weren't those darn cement pilings and wall...

There were shards of pottery around. Only in Asia!!

The water was so clean and the perfect temperature. This is about as far as we could go in though.

Ben wanted to go for a swim, but I thought going in next to the piling was kind of off putting.
