a real snow day!!!! What a shock it was to get up to kirishima and find we were up to our knees! it was a clear blue morning at home, so we thought it might be a good day to get up to the mountains; were we right!
We ventured off the trails a bit to find we were out all alone where it was so peaceful and silent. just perfect! for both of us, it was the most light, powdery snow we'd ever been in ~ so we played like little kids.
snowballs, hot cocoa, sledding, frozen pant legs, snow angels, deer sightings, icicles, vending machine hot tea, and a frozen lake ~ what a day !
