The company that we're going to be working for is called Nova Group. It is the largest private school in Japan. We will be teaching groups of 2-3 students at a time. There isn't any age limit that I know of yet, so we'll be teaching children as well as adults, probably not at the same time though!
Ben and I accepted the job and gave our three top choices of cities that we'd like to be placed. They gave no guarantee that we will actually get any of our choices, although they'll try and accomodate us. 1. Kyoto- since we visited there and really enjoyed the traditional architecture and thought, why not live there? 2. Osaka- we also visited here and enjoyed it- it's quite the large metropolitan city! and 3. we said that any coastal city from Tokyo south would be great since we love the ocean (and Ben would like to get in on the surf scene there too.)
So we found out last week that we're flying in to the airport in Osaka, which is a good sign since we know we'll be placed in the southern half of the country. Two weeks before the 22nd we will find out what city it's going to be... I'm anxiously awaiting the news!
