くろかわ おんせん kurokawa onsen !
what a luxurious getaway from the city. no convenience stores or traffic, just a beautiful, quiet riverside town with old fashioned hotels and shops lining the water. most wanderers wear robes around so they can hop from one onsen to the next with ease. I loved the kitties roaming the streets, traditional sweets (we ate some for breakfast,) and most of all, the onsens! by buying one cute little sliced wood pass, we could use 3 baths of our choosing~ each stamped the back.
